Each quarter we complete a custom project with each fellow. Swipe through to see highlights from our community gatherings, educational events, and creative design projects.

Mike de la Rocha & Pete White: LA Community Engagement

To support Fellows Mike de la Rocha and Pete White and the innovative EcoHood project to provide sustainable housing in LA, Summit Impact hosted a dinner at LA CAN with Summit community members. From rooftop toasts to deep dinner-table discussions to live poetry, it was a beautiful night of connection, learning, and committing to a better future.

Cristine’s Creative Design Sprint

Cristine Soto DeBerry is taking her extensive experience from the justice field and building the Prosecutors Alliance, a powerful resource to support public education and progressive leadership. To help the Prosecutors Alliance build a new brand and marketing strategy, Summit Impact hosted a series of facilitated design sessions with community experts. Special thanks to community facilitator David DeMember, and community participants Jenna Green, Colette Kessler, and Allison Mahoney!

Artie’s Storytelling Platform

The self-described creative that almost never was, Artie Gonzales is working to build new bridges through his storytelling platform, Lessons from a Lifer. By providing creative support, seed grant funds, and a virtual launch event, we gathered community around Artie's meaningful story and vision for the future.

In the Words of DA George Gascón

“As someone who has spent most of his professional life looking for ways to create safety for our community at the same time creating racial equity in our work....

I strongly believe that at this historical moment in our country, the Summit community through its entrepreneurial and technological knowhow can amplify the voices of reform in a way that many others can’t... to bring criminal justice reform for our community and a better future for all of us.”
