NICK TROIANO & UNITE AMERICA: Structural Reform
Nick Troiano published The Primary Solution: Rescuing Our Democracy from the Fringes, offering a compelling case for Ranked Choice Voting as a key tool for reforming primaries nationwide. To support the launch of his book and accompanying documentary, we facilitated one-on-one connections by introducing Nick to potential directors, funders, and partners essential to the documentary’s success. At Summit at Sea 2024, Nick took the stage to present “The Primary Solution,” to 160 Summiters, with 180 copies of his book gifted to attendees.
TATENDA MUSAPATIKE & VOTER FORMATION PROJECT: Representation & Participation
Tatenda Musapatike of the Voter Formation Project is leading groundbreaking research and implementing innovative digital strategies to engage communities that are often overlooked in the electoral process. To support Tatenda’s goal of mastering board management, we provided a comprehensive Board Structure & Governance 101 Guide, drawing on resources from experts within our Summit network. In February 2024, Summit Impact hosted a Creative Roundtable, a virtual case clinic that brought together four distinguished expert storytellers from the Summit community for an in-depth discussion on VFP’s innovative voter engagement strategies.
ISAAC SAUL & TANGLE: Repairing Common Bonds
In a media landscape overwhelmed by misinformation and polarization, Isaac and the Tangle team are revolutionizing how we consume political news. To support their mission, we facilitated strategic connections with experts in growth, marketing, social media, and customer acquisition, helping Tangle expand its subscriber base, develop new revenue streams, and launch a YouTube channel. We also played a pivotal role in supporting Isaac's first-ever Tangle Live! event in Philadelphia in August 2023. Building on that success, Isaac hosted a second live, sold-out event in NYC in April 2024, fostering meaningful community engagement and dialogue. Tangle is demonstrating a growing demand for diverse viewpoints, reaching an impressive milestone of 100,000 subscribers and counting.
